How it works: The Sleepscan booth assesses 3 key features, Body weight, Weight Distribution & Spinal Posture. This information is processed to guide you towards the correct MySleep mattress for you.

There are 3 beds in the range, each bed has a layer of top quality pocket springs, it's this layer of springs that determines how firm the mattress is, there is the option of Soft, Medium or Firm. Each of these 3 beds then has the option of a latex layer, which has a fast, responsive reaction, or a Visco elastic, pressure relieving layer with a slower response. The final, top layer is Kaymed�s unique K3 Gel layer, for ultimate temperature control and pressure relief.

One of the key factors to waking alert and energetic, when not getting enough sleep, is to get quality sleep, which can only be achieved when sleeping comfortably.

The dream of a comfortable night's sleep has been brought one step closer by Kaymed, Europe's speciality sleep experts. Over the past three years, in conjunction with Dr. Duncan Bain and Professor Lee Hubbard, the research and development team at Kaymed has devised a system to help people find the ideal mattress and pillow combination and therefore a more comfortable nights sleep.

The Kaymed SleepScan uses cutting edge camera technology and electro illuminesense to develop a three dimensional view of the human body. Using this imagery, SleepScan identifies body height, weight, body mass index and spinal curvature to categorise each sleeper by their unique body characteristics. Once these characteristics are logged by SleepScan, they are compared with a database of thousands of results of consumer comfort studies - these studies identified the most comfortable mattress for different body shapes and types.

Kaymed SleepScan marries each unique body shape to a set of recommended mattress and pillow ranked as most comfortable for that body type. This system helps people to pinpoint a select range of mattress options which are more likely to increase their sleeping comfort.

The SleepScan process takes no more than two minutes. The sleeper steps inside a specially designed Scanning booth where a front and side profile photograph is taken. The two profiles are three dimensionalised and then analysed by the system. The sleepers results then appear on screen - highlighting the key body metrics and postural curvature which combined allow the system to find a comfortable sleeping surface for the sleeper.

The SleepScan database can even help couples choose the most comfortable mattress, the system examines each partners comfort recommendations and finds the most appropriate compromise to increase each partners comfort.
